Pricing

We offer a small variety of poultry, please check our Facebook page for availability. We not only focus on the health and quality of our animals but also their temperaments. We do not tolerate any aggressive behavior from our breeding animals. We can turn our backs on all of our males even when guarding a nest, and we can remove eggs from our hens with minimal protest. Our birds are whistle trained and a fair amount of them enjoy human contact via cuddling or pets. We try to handle our birds as much as possible as they mature to make it as easy as possible to handle them as adults if need be. Our geese are being sold as sexed juveniles/adults with a select few goslings so we can evaluate our quality and keep back the best ones to improve our lines while pricing the rest accordingly. We will buy our birds back if for some reason you cannot/do not want to keep them. Purchase of certain animals will require you to sign a first right of refusal Contract. Any birds sold exhibition are being sold as POTENTIAL exhibition quality only. We make no guarantee on how they will do at shows. To view pricing please visit the individual pages under Animals

About Us

Updated 3/01/24

We are a small hobby farm based in MI, we started rescuing disabled poultry in 2019 and have been expanding ever since. We now rescue numerous species of domestic animals and have a small breeding program with ducks, geese, quail, guineas and goats. All of our waterfowl are being bred towards the Standard of Perfection (SOP). Goslings/ducklings  will be sold in at least pairs and you must already have geese/ducks to adopt a singular juvenile/adult. We do not ship live birds, we are currently pick up only. We sell both sexed and unsexed birds. If we sex a bird wrong, we will exchange them for the proper sex as availability allows . We will buy our birds back if for some reason you cannot/do not want to keep them. Purchase of certain animals will require you to sign a first right of refusal Contract.  To view specific breeds and pricing please select Animals from the menu above.

FAQ

Will you be selling hatching eggs? Availability depends on many factors, to see what we currently have available visit our facebook page

Why do I have to sign a first right of refusal contract? No matter how much we impress on our clients to come back to us if there are any problems, we have experienced a couple instances where the family's circumstances have changed and we have not been given the opportunity to assist one of our animals to be suitably rehomed.

Why do I need to have other geese/ducks to adopt a single juvenile/adult? Geese and ducks are highly social creatures that require a friend to thrive, a lone goose/duck can lead to depression, health complications and a shortened life span.

Why aren't you selling certain goslings? We want to grow everyone out to make sure we can keep back the best quality to continue to improve our lines and price the rest accordingly.

How much are your birds? Please check our "Animals" page for a general price outline,  our birds are priced based on their quality so prices will vary.

What do you currently have available? All available birds will be listed on our Facebook page

What incubator do you recommend? We've had great luck with the nurture right 360 and a homemade cabinet incubator.

Do you ship? Hatching eggs only. We do not currently ship live babies as we have had issues with our local post offices

What's the best duck/goose  breed for me? We have individual pages with information about all the birds we breed

What are the temperaments of your ganders? We breed specifically for calm and well mannered ganders, we do not have any issues with biting or flogging and can easily turn our backs on and handle our ganders even when guarding a nest.

Where are you located?  Springport MI about 5 min from Partello.

What forms of payment do you accept? Cash and paypal

What animals do you rescue? We rescue nearly all species of domestic animals, we specialize in disabled animals which means we only take in surrenders if they're disabled. This is so we can keep our numbers limited and put all of our effort into the animals that need extra help.

Will you take in my extra drakes/roosters? Only if they're disabled.

How accurate is your sexing? We average about 95% if we vent sex only once, however we vent sex a minimum of 3 times before sending them to their new home and if we are still wrong we will exchange them for the proper sex as availability allows.
